Luis Carlos Mendes Da Silva Monteiro, 56, of Brockton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026. Born on November 18, 1969, in Praia, he was the son of Josafa Mendes and the late Alberto Goncalves Da Silva Monteiro.

Luis was a devoted husband to Jesufina Pereira Fortado Mendoca Monteiro and a loving father to Helder Silva, Claudia Monteiro, Iuri Miguel Lopes Da Silva Monteiro, Luis Alexandre Lopes Da Silva Monteiro, Rayane Aline Mendoca Da Silva Monteiro and Eriane Aline Mendoca Fernandes. He treasured the time spent with his family and was happiest when surrounded by those he loved most.

Luis worked as a welder for Flexcon Industries, where he was respected for his dedication and strong work ethic. Known for his kindness, quiet strength, and caring nature, he leaves behind many cherished memories with family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at George Lopes Funeral Home.

Luis will be laid to rest in his homeland of Praia, where his final disposition will take place.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
