Manuel Centeio

"Manuel “Mano” Barbosa Centeio was born on May 22, 1935, in Mosteiros, Fogo, Cabo Verde. He married the love of his life, Gabriela Galvão Centeio, on January 4, 1967

He is survived by his children, Maria “Mizu,” Filipe “Mane Santinho,” and Marline; his grandchildren, Kayla, Jollil, Jalen, Rayne, Skyleen, Gui, Gabriela, and Miabella; his great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Joshua, and Tristan; his siblings, Amelia “Lucinda” Lopes, Antonio Centeio and Flora “Pipi” Fernandes; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gabriela Galvão Centeio, and his siblings, Alvaro "Rapazinho" Centeio, Maria “Nenezinha” Rosa, and Joao Centeio.

Manuel worked as a treasurer for TACV. On April 20, 1980, he moved to America and settled in Somerville, MA. Manuel had a lifelong love of soccer and played in Cabo Verde. He was a devoted Sporting CP fan who spent many hours listening soccer games on the “relato”.

He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.”
