Manuel Depina

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Manuel Araujo DePina on November 24, 2025. Born on December 26, 1986, in Boston, MA, he was the dearly loved son of Manuel and Maria DePina. 

Manuel, known affectionately to many as Sonny Jr., brought joy, laughter, and warmth wherever he went. He had a natural gift for making people feel comfortable and welcome, and his sense of humor could brighten even the heaviest of days. His smile, his kindness, and his genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He shared a deep and loving bond with his daughter, Laura DePina, who meant the world to him. She was the greatest love of his life. Manuel is survived by his daughter, Laura and her mother, Sandra DePina; his brother, Anthony DePina, and his wife Carmen DePina; his sister, Sonia DePina; and his niece, Romi DePina. He also leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who held him dear.

Manuel will be remembered for his humor, his heart, and the light he carried into every room. Though his loss brings immense sorrow, his spirit will continue to live on through the memories, love, and laughter he shared with so many.

He will be missed beyond measure and forever loved.
