Manuel Dias Teixeira

Manuel “Neny” Dias Teixeira, born June 3, 1954, on the island of Fogo, Cabo Verde, passed away peacefully at his home in Brockton, Massachusetts. He was the beloved son of the late Ambroise Cardoso and Antonia DaSilva (Teixeira).

A devoted husband, Neny is survived by his cherished wife, Idalina Teixeira. He leaves behind four loving children: Valery Andrade, Nicholas Teixeira, Christina Teixeira, and Carlos Fontes. He was a proud and doting grandfather to ten grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. He is also remembered fondly by a large extended family and countless friends whose lives were touched by his warmth, humor, and vibrant energy. Neny was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Teixeira, whom he now joins in eternal rest.

Neny worked for many years as a skilled machinist before discovering a new passion that shaped the latter part of his life—landscaping. Whether tending to gardens or transforming yards, he found true joy in working with his hands and creating beauty in the world around him. His dedication, craftsmanship, and love for the outdoors were evident in everything he did.

Above all else, Neny will be remembered for his generous spirit, his unforgettable smile, and the light he brought to every gathering. His presence filled rooms with laughter, comfort, and a sense of community. He touched many lives, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

May he rest in peace, surrounded by everlasting love.
