Maria Flora Pires passed peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2020 in Brockton, Massachusetts surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Fogo, Cabo Verde to the late Pedro Fernandes Afonso and Ernestina Afonso.

Loving mother to Henriqueta, Eugenia, Filomena, Alberto, Ondina, Tezuka (Predeceased) and Filomeno (Predeceased).

She leaves her siblings Antonio "Betinho" Afonso, Jenna, Bilota, Domingos,and Maria.

She will be missed dearly by her twenty- seven grandchildren, twenty- seven great grandchildren and other family friends who will cherish her memories.

Visitation with family will be Friday, January 31, 2020 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the George Lopes Funeral Home, 647 Main Street Brockton, MA 02301

Funeral Mass will be Saturday, February 1, 2020 starting at 10:00 AM at St Edith Stein Parish, 71 E Main St, Brockton, MA 02301

Interment will follow to Calvary Cemetery, 163 N Cary St, Brockton, MA 02302
