Mario Ledo Pontes

Mario Ledo Pontes, 57, of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2021 surrounded by his children.

He was born in Fogo, Cape Verde to Marcelina Ledo Pontes (Tchalina) and Francisco Rodrigues. He was a kind and loving partner to his spouse Rosa Pontes (Guta), an amazing father to their children Platini, Marlene, Loredana and Jussara and an awesome grandfather to their grandchildren.

Mario was known for his infectious personality and compassionate spirit. He touched thousands of people’s lives over the course of his very long career as a public safety officer for Bowdoin Street Health Center, a notary public, and a tax preparer in Boston. 

Aside from being survived by his parents, wife, children and grandchildren, Mario also leaves behind his siblings and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
