Miguel N Dos Reis Monteiro

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Miguel N. Dos Reis Monteiro, of Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at the age of 63.

Miguel was born on January 30, 1962, in Fajã, São Nicolau, Cape Verde, to his beloved parents, Domingos Monteiro and Arcangela Monteiro. He was raised in a close-knit family that instilled in him the values of hard work, compassion, and faith—principles he carried with him throughout his life.

After moving to the United States, Miguel made Boston his home, where he became a proud member of the Cape Verdean community. He was known for his warm smile, generous spirit, and willingness to help others. Miguel’s presence brought joy and laughter to those around him, and his kindness touched countless lives.

Miguel was a devoted father to his son, DaNilson M. Silva Dos Reis, and a proud grandfather to his two beloved grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by a host of siblings, and many loving relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Miguel’s life was one of love, integrity, and quiet strength. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at St. Patrick Church, 400 Dudley Street, Boston, MA from 5:00-8:00PM.

The funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025 beginning at 10:00AM at St. Patrick Church, 400 Dudley Street, Boston, MA, proceeding the mass will be interment to New Calvary Cemetery in Boston, MA .
