With profound sadness and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Nerva Desir, who departed this life peacefully on May 15, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 89.
Born on August 16, 1936, in Jacmel, Haiti, Nerva was the beloved son of the late Helvecius Desir and Romena Lafrance. Raised with strong values of faith, hard work, and compassion, he carried those principles throughout his life and shared them generously with everyone who knew him.
Nerva dedicated many years of his life working in construction for Dimock Business, where he earned the respect of colleagues and friends through his dedication, reliability, and tireless work ethic. He took pride in providing for his family and building a life rooted in love, sacrifice, and perseverance.
Above all, Nerva was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, family man, and friend. He leaves behind his loving wife, Rosette Jules Desir, whose companionship and love blessed his life for many years. He is also survived by his cherished children, Marie Nirva Desir, Sophia Jules, Rony Desir, Kerline Desir, and Miranda Desir; four loving grandchildren; his beloved sister, Therese Desir; along with a host of beloved relatives, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory, wisdom, and gentle spirit.
Nerva was preceded in death by his parents, Helvecius Desir and Romena Lafrance, and his beloved sister, Vetanie Desir.
Nerva will be remembered for his kindness, humility, strength, and unwavering love for his family. His presence brought comfort and joy to those around him, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit remains a guiding light to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
