Orlando Monteiro Sr., of Brockton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, at the age of 77.
Born on December 20, 1948, in Fogo, Cabo Verde, Orlando was the beloved son of the late Cesar Monteiro and Adelina Monteiro. He was a hardworking and determined entrepreneur who built a successful career as a self-employed businessman. Through dedication, perseverance, and integrity, he earned the respect of those who knew him both personally and professionally.
Above all else, Orlando Sr. cherished his family. He was a devoted and loving husband to his beloved wife, Gertrudes Monteiro, whose partnership and love were the foundation of their family. He was a proud and caring father to Julio C. Monteiro and Jovina Monteiro, and a loving grandfather to his cherished grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.
Orlando Sr., was preceded in death by his parents, Cesar and Adelina Monteiro, and his beloved son, Orlando Monteiro Jr. While his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy of love, strength, resilience, and devotion to family will continue to inspire those who knew him.
He will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering work ethic, generous spirit, and the wisdom he shared with family and friends. His life was a testament to perseverance, faith, and the importance of caring for those you love.
Orlando's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his devoted wife, children, grandchildren; Asianna, Zarianna, and Orlando lll, extended family, and the many friends whose lives he touched. Though he is no longer with us, his love, guidance, and enduring legacy will remain a source of comfort and strength for generations to come.
