Patricia Ann Branch –Wilson

Was born on June 18, 1949 to Aida B Carter and Merton A. Carter in Nashville Tennessee. The Carter’s moved to New York City were Patricia attended St. Patrick Catholic School until 5th grade. The family moved to Jamaica Queens, New York where she attended P.S. 140 Elementary School, and then I.S. 8. Patricia married Joseph Branch in the late 60’s. Patricia love to sing she won second place at the Apollo Theater amateur night, from then she follow her dream of becoming a professional singer. Patricia sang with many groups around the country. In 1981 she joined the group Xavier and they recorded a Song called Work That Sucker to Death featuring Boosty Collins on the Liberty records label. Patricia live most of her life in the entertainment business. Patricia managed a dance group called The Holly D Dancers. Patricia also work at the Sheraton Boston Hotel for several years. In the late 80’s she received the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal savior. Patricia joined the Holy Tabernacle Church, and sang with the Holy Tabernacle Choir. Patricia joined Blessed Hope Tabernacle Church in early 2000’s. Patricia later married Andre Wilson. Patricia had a way with people, she would take in anyone who had a need or no place to live. Patricia had a great smile and was always the life of the party.

On October 8th at 2:21pm she went home to be with the Lord. Patricia leaves to cherish her memory two sister’s Carolyn L. Carter and Mary L. Carter. Proceeding her in death her Mother Aida B Carter, Father Merton A Carter, Son William Branch. Patricia has four children Vernice Johnson- Funches (James), Herman A. Carter, Joseph Branch, William Branch (Trenita). Patricia has 17 Grand Children, Lawrence, Rico, Shawn, Emonica (Marcus), Vernice D., Mary, Margaret, Charles, David, Ja’Lisa, Romona, Keisha, Takeisha, Cee’Jae, Me’ara, Ra’chelle, Angel. Patricia has 43 Great Grand Children and a host of Aunts and Uncles Nieces and Nephews, to cherish her life who will love and miss her.
