Pat Richardson, of Boston, passed peacefully at her home in Brockton, MA surrounded by her family.
She was the loving daughter to the late L. T. and Goldie M. (Grant) Rogers.
Pat was born in Boston, MA, on August 28, 1952.
She attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from the old Jamaica Plain High School in 1970. After high school, she attended Emmanuel College for a short time before transferring to UMASS Boston, where she graduated with her bachelor's degree.
Pat worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield for several years before moving on to the career she loved with the Boston Police Dept. as a Communication Operator, Dispatcher, and Trainer until her retirement in 2011.
Post- retirement, Pat has enjoyed traveling with family and friends, always looking forward to the next trip. Through the years, Pat has persevered through many obstacles that life has thrown her. This last battle was the hardest of her life, but she tackled it with a true fighter's strength, grace, and determination.
A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, she leaves her children Ericka Rogers, August Baptiste III (Denise), and Krishaunna Baptiste; her grandchildren (10); as well as her brother John Rogers (Remetrious), sisters Joyce Smith (Roosevelt) and Cassandra Claiborne, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Jan, her parents, and three grandchildren.
