Queen Victoria (Kaigler)Beal born in Macon County, December 23, 1932, to Earnest Kaigler and Georgia Heath of Montezuma, GA. On November 12; 1948 she married Leon Beal, to whom she stayed married until his death in 1982. From that union one child was born in 1949, Leon Beal Jr. In the 50’s Queen and Leon moved North to seek a better life, and better opportunities as did many Blacks trying to escape the segregation of the South. She became a member of Concord Baptist Church when she arrived in Boston and remained a member until her passing.
Queen worked in the garment district with her sister Aquilla who was also her best friend. and confidante, you seldom saw one without the other. In her efforts to expand her personal horizons, she attended night school to make herself more marketable. From the garment district she became an employee of Shawmut Bank., the beginning of her journey in data entry. She retired from Boston Financial Data Services in Braintree, MA around the year 2007 - 2008. Family, friends and travel were her passions.
On Saturday June 14, 2025, her 29-year battle with cancer came to an end.
Cancer did not win; she just decided her belief in the promised resurrection to life and the hope of reuniting with all those she had loved and lost was a lot more appealing than being bedridden here on this earth. The love she gave and shared with many strengthened, brought comfort, and smile to them all
She leaves to mourn her, her son Leon and his wife Robin, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and longtime friend and confidante Steven Platting.
