Quincy Dave Lamont Holmes (48) of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on April 7th, 2026, leaving a void in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
Quincy Dave Lamont Holmes was born on July 2nd, 1977, in St. Michael, Barbados to Yvonne Holmes and the late John G. Hunt.
Quincy leaves behind those who will always love and cherish his memories. His biggest supporter and mother, Yvonne Holmes, a loving brother to Carol Holmes, Cheryl, and her husband Jeffrey Sealy, Hallam Holmes, and Ramario Hunt [Barbados].
His children: Farid, Dezmond, Aaron, Kahlio, Destanee, and stepdaughter Breanna Benson-Duran. His granddaughter Anastasia. His nieces and nephews: Jhayla, Haley, Micah and Myles. His best friend: Terry (Normand) Bennett. He will also be remembered and missed by a host of family and friends, in the U.S. and Barbados, who loved him tremendously.
Quincy was a graduate of Jeremiah E. Burke High School and studied culinary arts at Newbury College. He worked at Party City for 15 years, holding many positions until the store closed. He then transitioned to The Home Depot, where he worked in the gardening section.
Quincy was known and will be remembered for his big smile, his love of life and family. He believes in the power of prayer. His favorite words were “blessed” and “listen to me.” He always ended his phone calls with “blessed” and “love you.”
He had a huge passion for making and flying kites. All he needed was the wind; it did not matter what the season.
While his sudden departure breaks our hearts, we take comfort in the amazing memories he leaves with us.
