Randall Miller

Randall Courtland Miller, Sr was born on May 1, 1946, to the late William (Jack) and Gloria Miller. He was the third of seven children. He was known as Randy to his friends and more affectionately as Cocoa to his family. 
When he was still in middle school, he landed his first job selling newspapers at Fenway Park.  After graduating from Dorchester High School in 1965, he coached basketball at a recreation center that was in Codman Square.  At least two of the players he coached went on to play in the NBA; Robert Carrington for the Atlanta Hawks and Ron Lee for the Utah Jazz.  Randall was a huge sports fan, and he especially loved the Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.  He enjoyed keeping himself in good physical condition by jogging 10 miles 3 times per week and regularly attending The Super Fitness Center in Quincy.
Randall also loved to travel – to the beach for seafood, to New York and Montreal for music concerts, to Roper, NC and Stone Mountain, GA to visit family. He loved his job at the Campello Keith gas station in Brockton where he worked for over 15 years.  He knew many of his customers by name and over time their children and grandchildren.

 Randall passed away on January 13, 2022 and was preceded by his beloved parents William (Jack) and Gloria Miller, and his brothers Bradford, Gary, Brian and Bobby. 

Cherishing his memories, he leaves his siblings Sharon Chandler and Kevin Miller, his two children Cheryl (Miller) Williams and Randall Miller, Jr, daughter-in-law Miwa Miller, his four grandchildren Greg Hawkins, Monique Hawkins, Anthony Miller and Denise Miller, his three great-grandchildren Ailani Hawkins, Aiden Hawkins and Liliana Hawkins, his aunt Gertrude (Dolly) Miller and his longtime companion Kathleen Durham, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
