Randy Wilson Obituary

Randy Wilson, 41 of Brockton was the beloved son of Odell Jr. & Willie Wilson. Randy was born on March 17, 1979 and departed this life on January 19, 2021.

Randy attended Brockton public schools. He was an excellent student and an outstanding athlete. Randy was introduced to sports by his dad and older brothers at an early age. Randy competed in organized sports; little league and pony league baseball, midget football, AAU and church league basketball for the city of Brockton. He also played youth football for the city of Abington. Randy attended Brockton High School where he excelled academically. He enjoyed being part of the Brockton Boxer teams as a varsity football player which began his freshman through senior year and varsity basketball, sophomore through senior year. After high school Randy attended Weidner University in Chester, PA where he pursued a degree in finance.

Randy was a loving, dedicated, compassionate and caring father to his children. He was a special (big brother and big little bro) to his siblings and a favorite uncle to his nieces and nephews. Our favorite Randy sayings are “sorry to eat and run, but peace”, “shut-up stuuuppid“, “I’m eating with my pinky finger out, like our big momma!”, “I’m ma’s favorite”, and “All I need is God and My Mama.” At the end of phone conversations and facetime, Randy never said goodbye. He would say “aight….1.”

Randy’s life would seem too short. However, those whose lives were impacted and infiltrated by his golden heart would understand that Randy’s love and the quality of his existence far exceeded the quantity of time in our lives. His smile, enormous heart, generosity and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Randy leaves to Cherish his Loving Memories: His parents, Odell Jr. & Willie Wilson; His children, Josselyn Wilson of Florida, Jadyn Wilson of Massachusetts, Randy Wilson Jr. of Florida, Randilyn Wilson of Florida, and Yahzlyn Clark of Massachusetts; Six brothers, Odell Wilson III (Cynthia) of Minnesota, Roosevelt Wilson (LaKeisha), Rodney Wilson (Kathleen), Rynard Wilson, Rashard Wilson and Renaldo Wilson of Massachusetts; Four sisters, Rochelle Ryan (Stanley), Renee Finch (Eric), Ramona Wilson and Ronique Wilson of Massachusetts. The mother of his children; Jacqueline Lobo and Yazmin Correa; His long-time friends Peter Harris and Jason Anderson; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, one great-niece, great-nephews and godchildren.
