It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ricardo Gomez Bent, who departed this life on October 6, 2025, in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 59.

Born on November 10, 1965, in Puerto Limón, Costa Rica, Ricardo was the beloved son of Vincent Gomez and Lena P. Burris, who continue to cherish his memory.

A skilled and dedicated mason by trade, Ricardo took great pride in his craft. His hands helped shape not just buildings, but the lives of those around him strong, steady, and dependable.

Ricardo’s most treasured role was that of father and grandfather. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Adrianne Wright-Bent, and his cherished grandson, Omari Hawkins, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.

He is also survived by his devoted parents, Vincent and Lena, along with a host of extended family and dear friends whose lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and quiet wisdom. Ricardo was a man of integrity, humility, and warmth. His presence will be deeply missed and his memory forever treasured.

A viewing service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Services will take place at [Funeral Home Name if known], with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park, MA.

In honoring Ricardo’s life, we remember a man who built more than homes he built a foundation of love, strength, and resilience that will endure through generations.
