Richard Allen Obituary

Richard Allen, beloved son of mother Lesdine Allen deceased and father Ted Allen Sr. deceased.

Richard Allen was born on April 5th, 1949, in York, Alabama.

Richard recently lost his wife Normie Lee Allen with in the last 2 weeks of his also untimely death of Boston. Richard leaves his stepdaughter Martha Ann Jefferson, grandchildren Sherry Shamecka Mckinley, Frank and Marquese Simmons, first born great Grandchild Kyron Leshawn Simmons and 28 great grandchildren and a host nieces and nephews near and far. Richard’s siblings are T.C and George Allen of Alabama, Robert Allen of Massachusetts, Willie and Joseph Allen of Ohio, Ted Allen JR of California deceased. Three sisters Mary Ezell, Dora Ann Alston and Lucy Mae Allen of Alabama deceased.

Richard who always went by Lee was a kind sole, he really did help everyone he could. EVERYONE knew Richard Allen in the neighborhood, he was the electrician plumber building super, cab driver, police you're all-around Mister fixit. Lee was always selling something, there was always a hustle going on at some point somewhere that he was part of. When something had to be done your first estimate was to call Lee how much he would charge to get it done for you and he always came in cheaper. Sometimes all it took was a good meal to get the job done. He was the jack of all trades.

Lee, like everybody else in the world, had his faults, but there was always more good than bad.
