Richard “Richie” Frazier, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2020, surrounded by loved ones. He will always be remembered for his passion and easy-going personality. Richie could always light up a room with his happy go lucky nature, big smile, and hearty laugh. He enjoyed the simple things, like spending time outdoors, mowing his lawn, listening to music, and he loved to the grill.
Growing up, family and friends jokingly called Richie “a lover, not a fighter” because he always had an eye for a pretty girl, but on September 8, 2002, he married the prettiest girl of all, Sharon and together they blended two families into one.
Richie’s easygoing demeanor was matched only by his love of family. He will always be remembered as a bright light and treasured son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend by all who loved him.
Richie was born in Boston Massachusetts on June 28, 1968. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ethel Frazier. After the passing of his parents, Richie, and his sister DeAndrea were raised by his late uncle Bob Lewis and aunt Bessie Wright. A lifelong Bostonian, Richie graduated from Blue Hills Regional Technical High School with a certificate in Auto Repair.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, and his children, son Rashad Bailey and daughter Vashana M. Burns; stepson Steven A. Gilchrist; stepdaughter Shaniqua Q. Venus; and grandchildren Amaria N. Hume, Jada T. Bailey, Rashad R. Bailey Jr., Remi S. Bailey, Journey R. Bailey. Richie is also survived by his sister DeAndrea E. Frazier, and brothers David Wright and Bobbie K. Wright; niece Sharvia D. Frazier; and great niece, Declyn E. Frazier.
