Mr. Rolyn Maynard Freeman Sr, of Boston, Massachusetts passed peacefully at his home in Dorchester on February 7, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Tortola, British Virgin Islands to Joseph and Esline Freeman.
He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to many.
Rolyn leaves his wife, Mrs Judith Freeman. His caring children: Najmah Iyana Freeman, Tiffany Michelle Freeman, Nailah Asha Freeman and Rolyn M. Freeman Jr (& his partner Rosana Urbaez). Blessed to have two grandchildren Mateo Freeman and Aurora Freeman.
Rolyn also leaves his siblings: Arlene Lake, Germaine Freeman, Ernest Freeman, Lindely Freeman, Glenford Freeman, and Lorren Freeman.
Rolyn devoted his time and love to God, family, his community (esp. St. Mary’s) & reading. Rolyn was a long-time member and former Warden at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Dorchester, where he developed a passion for community and fellowship, which he shared with his family and friends. Rolyn volunteered with the St. Mary’s Food Pantry for many years and was a founding member of the 50+ group.
