Ronald Jenkins

Ronald Jenkins entered this world on October 27, 1960, born to the late Jimmy Hinton and the late Minnie Lee Jenkins in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He grew up in the heart of Boston’s Orchard Park housing development and received his education through the Boston Public School system. Ronald was a man who lived life with an authentic, unyielding presence—a true force of nature who moved through the world on his own terms. He was a fighter in the truest sense, possessing a fierce, protective spirit and a rare courage that meant he never backed down from a challenge, yet alongside that formidable strength was a deep warmth and an open heart.

As a skilled tradesman in construction, Ronald spent years building, shaping, and transforming the world around him. He possessed the rare gift of a true craftsman: he could fix absolutely anything, and his hands were happiest when they were working, creating, or restoring. His technical brilliance extended to his love for music; Ronald could tune and fix any stereo system, masterfully balancing the acoustics to perfection. To Ronald, music wasn’t just background noise—it was the heartbeat of life. He commanded the room as the ultimate DJ at every event, ensuring that the rhythm never faded and that everyone around him shared in his joy.

That rhythm carried over into his deep passion for roller skating and biking. On wheels, Ronald was pure elegance and motion, a talent so undeniable that his effortless grace was once featured on the television show Chronicle. Known affectionately to many as RJ, he loved a good party, brought an infectious energy into every room he entered, and possessed a beautiful, boundless love for his family. He carried a deep, profound pride in his son, leaving behind a legacy of strength and love that will pass through the generations. He was also a pillar of strength to his host of nieces and nephews who absolutely adored him, giving them his time, his protection, and a lifetime of unforgettable memories.

As the second youngest of five siblings, Ronald’s life was deeply rooted in family; he is survived by his beloved son, Quuraan, his sisters, Yvonne and Valerie, his cherished nephews KenKen, KJ, Jack, and Adam, and his precious nieces Tomeka, Tyesha, Kia, Krystal, and Shannon. He also leaves behind a legacy of love through his great-nieces, great-nephews, and a vast circle of close family members and friends. He is now peacefully reunited with his parents, his late brothers, Kenny and Stevie, his late nephew, Lockas, as well as many other close family members who have gone on to greener pastures.

Ronald’s departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his melody plays on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. We will remember him in the smooth glide of a bike, his effortless agility on skates, the perfect bass of a stereo system, and the fierce, protective love he held for his family. He lived fully, fought hard, loved deeply, and fixed the broken things in the world with steady hands. Rest in peace, Ronald; your music will play on, and your spirit will never be forgotten.
