Sheila Mae Irby was born on July 9, 1965, at the Cambridge City Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Sheila was the oldest of 2 and affectionately named “Pudding” by her mom. Sheila was a bundle of joy for her mom and the staff at Cambridge City Hospital, so much so, that the nurses wanted her to stay a few days longer after discharge. At the age of seven the family moved to Mattapan, Massachusetts. She attended and graduated from Boston Technical High School. She obtained an associate’s degree, and a bachelor’s degree in finance.
She loved numbers but her greatest joy and love was the Lord. She sought Him and found Him in her early teenage years; she was baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Ghost. During high school and college, she lived according to God’s word and will. She loved witnessing for the Lord and spreading the Good News of Jesus, that was her greatest joy.
She will be remembered by her cousins Shirley (John), her brother Roy Irby and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Sylvester Irby, Aunts Mattie Mathis and Leatha Taylor, and Cousin Elizabeth Jessica Graustuck. She will be greatly missed.
