Sultan Abdul-Raheem

On February 24, 2025, the world lost one of the sweetest and unique souls many of us have ever met.

Sultan was born on April 1st, 1941, to the parents of Eugene and Pearl Hines. He was the eldest of 3 children (Ruth & Mildred) Sultan came into this world on April's fool's day, and he certainly lived up to the day with his boisterous and humorous personality.

Anyone that knew him understood that there was no such conversation with him without him cracking a joke or rhyming his words. Sultan could get along with anyone who crossed his path young, old man, or woman.

Sultan married Veronica Hankerson and had three beautiful girls (Ruqayyah, Safiyyah, & Fatimah) he also shared another beautiful girl (Aisha) with Gale Fernandez and raised a stepson (Gary) with his late wife Katie Abdul-Raheem.

Sultan served in the nation of Islam for over 75 years and was loved by all of his brothers at the Masjid which was the foundation of all that he did in his life.

Sultan leaves behind 4 daughters 1 stepson 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and 2 sisters he will live on in each one of us and will be greatly missed.
