Tiana Roberson Obituary

Tiana Star Roberson was a beautiful soul whose life, though far too short, was filled with love, purpose, and light. She was 24 years old.

Tiana was born on August 16, 2001, to Tia Starobin and Kurt Roberson in Brockton, Massachusetts. She was raised in Stoughton, where many of her roots were formed. Later, she moved to Boston, where she spent much of her time surrounded by family—something that always meant everything to her. She was a proud graduate of Brockton High School and carried a strong work ethic throughout her life.

Tiana began her professional journey working as a caretaker at Bay Cove, where her natural compassion and care for others truly shined. At the same time, she chose to follow her true passion: culinary arts. Alongside her father, Kurt Roberson, Tiana pursued culinary training and proudly graduated from NECAT in July of 2025. She dreamed of one day owning and running her own food truck—a vision that reflected both her creativity and her desire to bring joy to others.

Tiana loved traveling and spending time with her family, especially her younger cousins, whom she lovingly considered her nieces and nephews. Family was always at the center of her heart. She believed deeply in forgiveness, understanding, and meeting people without judgment. Tiana led with love, grace, and an open heart.

She was light-spirited and full of life—someone whose presence could lift a room and whose kindness left an impression. Tiana’s heart was generous, her spirit was free, and her love will continue to live on through everyone she touched.

In her final season of life, Tiana made the meaningful and personal decision to dedicate her life to her Christian faith. This choice reflected the same sincerity, love, and humility she showed in every part of her life. She believed in grace, forgiveness, and the power of love—values that guided her heart and her actions.

We take comfort in knowing that Tiana now rests in the presence of the Lord she came to know and trust. As Scripture reminds us, “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Though we grieve her loss deeply, we hold onto the promise that her life continues eternally through Christ.

Tiana is survived by her parents, Tia Starobin and Kurt Roberson of Boston; her grandmothers, Cheryl Starobin and Joanne Roberson; her grandfather, Charles Mitchell; her great-grandmother, Diane Parsons; her godchildren, Marli and Maijor Starobin; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Tiana was preceded in death by her grandfather, Kurt Leo Morgan.
