Tiffany Williams Obituary

Our Beloved Tiffany Williams was born on April 20,1974 to the late David L. Williams, Sr. and Annie P. Williams (Love) in Boston, Massachusetts.

Tiffany was one of eight children and the seventh child of their Union. Tiffany was always a light to this world. She was the most empathetic, caring person, especially to the ones she loved. You knew that Tiffany was going to grace the room because her presence was impactful, her laugh infectious and her personality joyful. To all who loved her, she was Tiffany “Queen” Williams. Queen is what we called her, and you could see it all in her aura. Tiffany’s aura was palpable. She pushed to radiate positive energy at all times even in her time of sadness - at times laughing and dancing to anything.

Tiffany was taught the importance of having a strong foundation spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. She applied these foundational teachings throughout her life journey with years of service in the church, starting in 1983 and beyond. Tiffany had many ways of expressing her spirituality. She loved meditation and going to the Tong Ren Healing Center, Church and Divine Dharma Center. Tiffany formed and nourished relationships with a wide range of families. Her extroverted, loving spirit drew people towards her. Tiffany attended Patrick O'Hearn elementary school, Lucy Stone Middle School, John D. O’Bryant School of Math and Science and then transferred to St. Gregory High School, where she graduated with honors.

Tiffany later earned a bachelor’s in education from Emmanuel College. Unfortunately, as Tiffany was completing a master's program, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in November of 1999. As a result, Tiffany was forced to put her career goals on hold. Her determination and willingness to overcome was remarkable. The cancer went into remission, and Tiffany later completed her master’s program. In 2001, Tiffany opened a licensed daycare and expanded the daycare facility in 2004.

Tiffany and Michael Lockley were a power couple. After a season of loss, Tiffany’s heart found its home in her daughter, Mecca. As her only child, Mecca was the 'rainbow' that followed the storm, and Tiffany cherished every moment of their journey together. Mecca is the Joy of Tiffany's life. Her “Ace”! Tiffany and Michael had a store in the heart of Grove Hall called “Mecca's Boutique” formally known as “For yours only” in which Tiffany helped assist and operate. It was a staple in the family especially for the children. Tiffany will be remembered for her love of music, her wittiness, her talent for singing, her flair for fashion and beauty. She delighted in the experience of eating out and shopping and found spiritual comfort at the Tong Ren station.

Tiffany’s greatest legacy, outside of her daughter Mecca, was her boundless generosity. Tiffany lived with a servant’s heart. She was a vessel of God’s love on earth, never hesitating to assist anyone in need, proving that one of her greatest gifts was the kindness she gave so freely. Tiffany loved her siblings and had a special relationship with each of them. In September 2016, Tiffany began a courageous nine-year journey with breast cancer. She fought with unwavering grace, anchored by her faith in God’s eternal love, until she was peacefully called home. To know Tiffany was to know a love that was restorative and resilient. She was an amazing and loving Wife, a legendary Mother, a devoted daughter and sister, and an adored Aunt.

Tiffany was preceded in death by her parents David L. Williams, Annie P. Williams (Love), and sister Mary Williams.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Mecca; husband Micheal; her siblings and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her light beyond measure. Tiffany lived as a testament to the power of hope and the beauty of a generous soul. While she has returned to the arms of her Creator, the love she planted in others will continue to bloom. Tiffany will be missed, but she will never be forgotten. She now rests securely in the arms of The Lord.
