Along with a large circle of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Tonya will be remembered for her unwavering honesty, her open heart, and her gift for making others feel heard and understood. She had a rare ability to connect with people and was always someone you could turn to for a listening ear or a word of encouragement. Above all, she cherished being not just a mother, but also a true friend to her children, offering them guidance, laughter, and unconditional love throughout their lives.
Tonya was well-known for her love of gold jewelry and was affectionately recognized as “the lady with all the gold earrings.” Even wearing hoop earrings in her nose. Her vibrant style and sparkling personality shined just as brightly as the pieces she wore. She took great joy in expressing herself through her jewelry, each piece carrying a story and reflecting her love for life and beauty.
With a style all her own, Tonya loved her sunglasses and wore them proudly — even at night. She had a playful spirit and a way of making people laugh with her signature greeting of “Good evening,” whether it was morning, afternoon, or night. These small, joyful quirks were part of what made her so special and unforgettable to her family and friends.
