Vicente Pina

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Vicente Pina, who departed this life on September 14, 2025, in Brockton, Massachusetts, at the age of 89.

Vicente was born on May 10, 1936, in Santiago, Cabo Verde, to the late Joaquim S. Almeida and Albertina Depina.

A man of deep strength, quiet wisdom and unwavering love, Vicente lived a life rooted in faith, family and hard work.

He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Cipriana Depina, with whom he shared a beautiful journey of love, perseverance and partnership.

A proud and dedicated provider, Vicente worked as a driver for TACV (Transportes Aéreos de Cabo Verde), where he was known for his reliability and strong work ethic. 

Vicente’s legacy lives on through the lives of his 11 cherished children, his many loving grandchildren and a host of extended family and dear friends whose lives were touched by his warmth, wisdom and quiet strength. To know Vicente was to know a man of humility, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at George Lopes Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Edith Stein Parish, located at 71 E. Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301.

Vicente will be laid to rest at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street, Brockton, MA 02301, following the service.

As we say goodbye to a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, we give thanks for his life, his legacy, and the love he shared so freely.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
