Yvonne Hershenson

Yvonne Hershenson, 77, of Brockton, Ma sadly passed away on April 12, 2024. She was born September 8, 1946, in Mobile, Ala to Henry and Ruby [Franks] Jones. She was a graduate of Harper High School in Jackson Ala. She held multiple Certifications in Office Administration, Culinary Arts, Health Care, and Phlebotomy. She was a loving mother, wife, grand/great grandmother, daughter, and sister. She always had a smile on her face and never hesitated to help a child in need. She was a devout Jehovah's Witness and active in the ministry until she developed cardiac disease.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Ruby (D 2020 age 51) Jawando, her stepdaughter Cindy Hershenson, her husband Herbert Hershenson (D 1997 age 67), her parents Henry (D 2005 age 82) and Ruby (D 1994 age 72), 2 sisters Eunice Bettis (D 2018 age 80) and Dianne Yelder (D 2005 age 56)

Yvonne leaves behind her children: Jose Echevarria, Santa Echevarria, Juan A. [Landa] Echevarria, Ursula Echevarria. Grandchildren: Danielle, Mahammed, Sadiat (Ruby); Candice, Tiffany, Maurice, Marquise, Ciara, Zaniyah, Zaliyah, Messiah (Jose); Brandon, Antonio, Cameron, Kearrah (Juan A.); Joshua, Areon, James, Jeremiah (Ursula). 29 great grandchidren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was an honary mother to Lorenzo Spencer, India Smith and honary grandmother to Michelle Smith, and Dominica Smith. She also leaves 1 brother Graylin (Sussan D2023) Jones, 2 sisters; Joyce (Ladon D2020) Hamilton, Paulette Manon and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and her beloved dog Simba.

Yvonne and her former spouse (Juan Antonia Sr) had 5 children together and remained friends afterwards. Both went on to remarry but remained in touch throughout their lives.

Yvonne's family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has offered support, prayers, words of encouragement and any and all love shown to us during this difficult time of our lives.
